Hi, Meet The Founder
I'm the founder of Wildflower & Wildering — a parent, artist and early childhood educator based in Aotearoa New Zealand.
I've always been drawn to the things that invite us to slow down and look a little closer. A child's fascination with something tiny. The feel of grass beneath bare feet. A familiar path. The changing seasons. The way a simple moment can stay with us long after it has passed.
Over the years, my work in early childhood has given me a deeper appreciation for how children experience the world — through curiosity, movement, their senses, relationships and the environments around them.
It made me notice how much is already happening in the ordinary’.
And how little of it needs to be turned into something more.
What guides the work
Curiosity guides us. Nature grounds us. Connection gives moments meaning. Memory gives them somewhere to live.
WHY I CREATED WILDFLOWER & WILDERING
Wildflower & Wildering grew from a desire to make more room for the moments that can so easily pass us by.
The ordinary moments of family life.
The things children notice.
The places we return to.
The small discoveries that don't always make it into photographs.
I wanted to create something that encouraged families to experience these moments together — without turning them into another task to complete or another expectation to meet.
W&W is about gentle invitations into nature, curiosity, sensory experience, connection and reflection.
There is no right way to experience them.
Just room to notice what is already there.
